A tall coffee variety with good flavor but low yield and disease susceptibility, originated in Ethiopia and traveled to Yemen in the 15th or 16th century. It spread to India and then to various parts of the world, including Europe, the Caribbean, and the Americas.
A unique Nicaraguan heirloom, the reintroduction of Arabica Typica plantations by our dedicated grower, Mr. Orlando Hoyes, has been a much-anticipated endeavor. After 13 years of nurturing and renovating the coffee crops, the trees have finally yielded sufficient cherries to create this special micro-lot.
